When greedy property developers attempt to force the feisty 67-year-old Natalia off her small plot of land – a garden oasis in the midst of an apartment complex in Kyiv – she fights back, refusing to be defeated. When her entire country is subsequently invaded by ruthless land-grabbing individuals, her rebellious fight only grows stronger in spirit. Trailer.

In conversation with

Tetiana Staneva, an ethnographic filmmaker, foreign correspondent from Ukraine, and founder and director of the Ukrainian OKO International Ethnographic Film Festival. OKO was born in Bessarabia, Ukraine in 2020 and held yearly in Ukraine and Bulgaria as a bridge between cultures and places, a response to disinformation, and -- in times of war – as a cultural lifeline.
